Tigers will also host annual youth clinic at Hearnes Fieldhouse
COLUMBIA, Mo. – Tigers fans will get their first glimpse at this year's Mizzou Volleyball squad on Friday, Aug. 19, for the annual Black & Gold exhibition match. First serve is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. (CT).
Prior to the scrimmage, fans can partake in the 2016 VolleyZONE Black & Gold Youth Clinic inside the Hearnes Center Fieldhouse. The annual youth clinic will run from 4:45 p.m. – 5:45 p.m. with registration beginning at 4:15 p.m. (CT). Admission is free for all youth participants entering grades K-8.
Players and coaches from Mizzou Volleyball and Columbia College Volleyball will serve as instructors throughout the youth clinic. The Cougars Volleyball program is led by head coach Melinda Wyre-Washington, who was a team captain and All-Big Eight selection for Mizzou from 1990-93.
To pre-register for the 2016 Youth Clinic, please contact Jillian Land (jllpn6@mail.missouri.edu) and provide the attending child's name, grade in school, mailing address and parent/guardian's phone and email address.
Children who attend the youth clinic and Black & Gold Scrimmage will be treated to free pizza after the youth clinic and free cake following the Mizzou scrimmage. Additionally, all fans in attendance are invited to an autograph session with the 2016 Mizzou Volleyball team following the scrimmage.
