Lauren Reedy to Compete in USA Diving Olympic Trials Finals

Senior Lauren Reedy will compete in Sunday's 3-meter springboard finals at the 2016 USA Diving Olympic Trials
INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - Senior Lauren Reedy of the Mizzou women's diving team will compete in the 3-meter springboard finals in the 2016 USA Diving Olympic Trials on Sunday, June 26 at the IU Natatorium in Indianapolis, Indiana. The women's 3-meter final, which includes 12 divers, will be televised live on NBC at 3:30 p.m. CT.
The top two finishers in the women's 3-meter will qualify for the 2016 Olympic Games after the United States was awarded a second spot from FINA on Friday, June 24. Reedy enters the finals in fourth-place with a combined preliminary and semifinal score of 605.70 after tallies of 294.65 in prelims and 311.05 in the semifinals, both of which took place on Tuesday, June 21.
A native of Rochester Hills, Michigan, earned All-America honorable mention honors in 2014-15 after placing ninth on 3-meter at the NCAA Championships. Reedy, who owns Mizzou's 1-meter record (355.80) and ranks second on 3-meter (363.00), was named to the USA Diving Tier II High Performance Squad in April. She also placed second in mixed synchro 3-meter at the 2016 USA Diving Synchronized National Championships.
