Machado Santos Season Highlights
• Mizzou Tennis junior Bea Machado Santos was selected as an at-large bid to the 2016 NCAA Division I Women's Tennis Championships, becoming the first Mizzou player to qualify for the NCAA Tournament since 2003 when Urska Juric competed in the singles and doubles tournament (with Katka Sevcikova).
• The Tiger junior was named to the Second-Team All-SEC on April 27, joining Cierra Gayton-Leach (2014) as the only members of Mizzou Tennis to be named to an All-SEC team.
• The Lisbon, Portugal was awarded the International Tennis Association/Arthur Ashe Leadership and Sportsmanship Award for the central region on May 9. The award dates back to 1982, is awarded at each level of NCAA Tennis (Division I, II, III, NAIA, and JUCO) and is given to players to have "exhibited outstanding sportsmanship and leadership as well as scholastic, extracurricular and tennis achievements." Santos is one of 12 recipients to receive the award at the Division I level.
• Machado Santos has contributed solid production at the No. 1 singles position, producing an 14-9 record at the position and a 15-9 overall singles record in the spring season.
• Six wins over ranked opponents and five SEC wins, both team highs.
• Currently ranked No. 53 in the Oracle/ITA Collegiate Tennis Singles Rankings. Santos entered the rankings
on March 8 and has remained ranked ever since, ranking as high as No. 53 in the April 26 and May 5 polls.
• Machado Santos defeated now two-time SEC Player of the Year Brooke Austin (Florida) on March 5, who is currently ranked No. 4 in the nation. The win was Austin's only SEC loss of the season.
• Has played a vital role in Mizzou Tennis' best season in over a decade, where the Tigers reached 16 wins, the most wins in program history since 2004-05. Mizzou also started the season 7-0, the best start in program history since 2002-03.

2002-03
• Mizzou won its first Big 12 Tournament match in program history defeating Nebraska 4-0. The Tigers followed up by advancing to their first NCAA Regional.
• Urska Juric was selected to compete in the NCAA Singles Championship.
• Juric and Kakta Sevcikova were seleced to compete in the NCAA Doubles Tournament.
2015-16
• Bea Machado Santos was selected to compete in the NCAA Singles Championship following a 21-16 singles record.
• Machado Santos posted a 15-9 record in the dual season and a 14-9 record at the No. 1 position.
• The Tiger junior defeated six ranked opponents over the season.
