@MizzouVB Begins 13-Day Trip to China

Tigers will compete against local teams plus sightsee historical landmarks
COLUMBIA, Mo. - Mizzou Volleyball hit the road earlier today, as it begins its 13-day trip to Beijin, China. The Tigers departed Columbia, Mo., on Thursday, May 12, and bused to Lambert-St. Louis International Airport. Mizzou then hopped on a plane for a short trip to Chicago O'Hare International Airport. The last leg of the trip was a 13-hour flight from Chicago to Beijing, China.
Head Coach Wayne Kreklow and the Tiger roster is scheduled to land in Beijing at 3:15 p.m. local time on Friday, May 13. Following a trip to the hotel, the Tigers will get their first practice session underway at Beihang University.
On the weekends of the upcoming trip to China, Mizzou will travel across the country and view some of their greatest landmarks. Planned sightseeing activities include Tianamen Square, Imperial Palace, Temple of Heaven, HongQiao Market, Summmer Palace, Beijing Zoo, Peking Duck at Qianmen Avenue, Great Wall of China, and 798 Art Zone.
During the normal work week, Kreklow will lead his Tigers into daily matches with local Chinese teams. Scheduled matches include Sports University, Henan No. 2, Beihang University, Central University and Beijing Sports University.
