@MizzouWBB to Participate in Preseason WNIT

16-team field offers 3-game guarantee
FORT COLLINS, Colo. – Mizzou Women's Basketball will participate in the 2016 Preseason WNIT, it was announced Wednesday. The 16-team field offers a 3-game guarantee for all teams. Matchups and game times will be announced in the next few weeks.
In addition to Mizzou, the Preseason WNIT field includes Abilene Christian (Southland), Central Michigan (Mid-American), Colorado State (Mountain West), Eastern Washington (Big Sky), Elon (Colonial), Fordham (Atlantic 10), Furman (Southern), Green Bay (Horizon), Little Rock (Sun Belt), Nebraska (Big Ten), North Texas (Conference USA), Notre Dame (ACC), Omaha (Summit), Texas Rio Grande Valley (WAC) and Washington (Pac-12).
"The Preseason WNIT field features teams that will be heading into their best years and are primed for a breakthrough," said tournament director Renee Carlson. "It's fantastic to showcase programs that are on the rise and will represent their schools so well in the national spotlight."
