Mizzou Men's Basketball (9-16, 2-10) continues Southeastern Conference action at Mizzou Arena with South Carolina (21-4, 8-4) on Tuesday, Feb. 16, with a 6 p.m. tipoff on the SEC Network.
Head coach Kim Anderson's program is coming off one of the biggest games of the 2015-16 season, and not simply because Mizzou defeated Tennessee, 75-64 (Feb. 13). The first-ever #RallyForRhyan Game raised more than $50,000 dollars for pediatric cancer research in honor of assistant coach Brad Loos' 5-year old daughter, Rhyan, who continues her fight against neuroblastoma.
Senior forward Ryan Rosburg has put together the greatest three-game stretch of his career, averaging 20.7 points per game and scoring the first two 20-point games of his career.
Rosburg recorded a career-high 24 points and 11 rebounds at Vanderbilt (Feb. 10) for his first career double-double.
Freshman forward Kevin Puryear scored 17 points vs. Tennessee and leads the Tigers in scoring with his 11.5 points per game.

Mizzou (9-16, 2-10 SEC) defeated Tennessee (12-13, 5-7 SEC), 75-64, on Saturday, Feb. 13, to take the lead in the all-time series between the two programs, 6-5.
Senior forward Ryan Rosburg scored 21 points in the game, the third-straight game he has scored in double digits and the sixth time overall this season.
Over his last three games, Rosburg is averaging 20.7 points and 7.7 rebounds per game. Rosburg has made seven, nine and eight field goals in his last three games, respectively, after not making more than six field goals in a game before that point.
Rosburg tied a career-high with two blocks, the 10th time in his career he has had two blocks in a game.
The Tigers shot 73.3 percent from the free throw line (22-of-30), the 14th time this season Mizzou has shot better than 70 percent from the charity stripe.

The Tigers improved to 9-5 at Mizzou Arena, 9-0 when leading at the half (38-27), 4-0 when shooting at least 50 percent, and 8-2 when outrebounding the opponent (41-26).
A total of 10,536 were in attendance for the game, the largest home crowd of the year at Mizzou Arena.

Puryear Joins Prolific Group of All-Time Mizzou Freshmen

Mizzou freshman forward Kevin Puryear dropped 17 points on Tennessee (Feb. 13), notching his 17th game of double-figure scoring of his debut season wearing the Black & Gold.
The effort vaulted Puryear into Mizzou's all-time Top 10 for freshman class scoring. His 288 points rank 10th, just three points from matching Keon Lawrence (291, 2006-07) and nine points from Arthur Johnson (297, 2000-01).

Rosburg Not Going Quietly Into the Night

Mizzou senior forward Ryan Rosburg unfortunately knows the date of his final game as a Tiger when his squad plays Florida on Saturday, March 5. That hasn't deterred Rosburg in recent games, as the senior Tiger has reset his career scoring mark twice in the last three games for Mizzou.
Since Mizzou Athletics announced it would self-impose a postseason ban this season on Jan. 13, Rosburg has admirably played some of the best basketball of his career.
Rosburg has scored in double digits on five different occasions since Jan. 13, including a career-high 24 points with a season-best 11 rebounds at Vanderbilt (Feb. 10) for his first career double-double.
Rosburg followed up his career-best game at Vanderbilt with another 20-point effort vs. Tennessee (Feb. 13), scoring 21 points on efficient 8-of-9 shooting from the field.
Over the last nine games, Rosburg has averaged 11.1 points and 4.1 rebounds per game. Rosburg held a season scoring average of 3.6 points per game prior to the game at South Carolina (Jan. 16).

Puryear Standing Tall with Fellow SEC Freshmen

Mizzou freshman forward Kevin Puryear has averaged 11.2 points per game during the Tigers' conference schedule - the highest mark on head coach Kim Anderson's squad.
Puryear is one of eight freshmen in the conference to average double digit scoring in SEC action thus far.
Puryear ranks fifth in the SEC for freshman scoring average in overall games with his 11.5 points per game.

South Carolina (21-4, 8-4) is currently ranked 23rd in the USA Today/Coaches Top 25 Poll and has won three of its last five games, but dropped an 89-62 result against No. 22 Kentucky on Feb. 13.
Senior forward Michael Carrera leads head coach Frank Martin's group in scoring with his 14.6 average in overall games. He additionally leads the Gamecocks in rebounding at 7.3 boards per game.
Against Kentucky on Feb. 13, Carrera scored 25 points and pulled down 10 rebounds for a double-double effort.
