COLUMBIA, Mo. - Mizzou Volleyball Class of 2017 signee, Leketor Member-Meneh (St. Louis, Mo.), has been named the 2016 Missouri High School Volleyball Coaches Association (MHSVCA) Missouri Volleyball Player of the Year, as announced last Saturday (Dec. 3).
Member-Meneh is regarded as one of the country's top Class of 2017 recruits, as she garnered Third Team Under Armour Girls High School All-American honors and was tabbed the No. 48 prospect in PrepVolleyball's "Top 100 Senior Aces" rankings.
The past four years, Member-Meneh solidified herself as one of the top prep volleyball players in the St. Louis area. In her 2016 senior campaign with Lutheran High School South, she led the area in kills (513), kills per set (7.1) and hitting percentage (.536).
Member-Meneh's sensational senior season keyed the Lancers' first-ever volleyball State Championship in 2016. In the state-clinching match, Member-Meneh posted a match-high 19 kills on .319 hitting and 10 digs. Overall, Lutheran High School South finished 34-3-3 this past season.
Additional 2016 postseason honors for Member-Meneh included Missouri Metro League Player of the Year, First Team Missouri All-State, All-District and All-Region accolades.
Member-Meneh shined as a multi-sport athlete at Lutheran High School South from 2013-16, recording 1,000-plus career kills in volleyball and 1,000-plus career points in basketball. In her 2015-16 junior season, Member-Meneh's 24.2 points per game ranked second-most in the St. Louis area. Additionally, she starred in track & field with the Lancers, finishing in second place in long jump in 2013.
The talented future Tiger also excelled in the classroom, as she was an honors student in all four years at Lutheran High School South.
