
Stevens to Swim in 2016 USA College Challenge

COLUMBIA, Mo. – Mizzou swimming junior Hannah Stevens (Lexington, Ohio) will represent Team USA at the upcoming USA College Cup Challenge, presented by Arena. Scheduled for Nov. 12-13 at the Indiana University Natatorium in Indianapolis, Ind., the meet pits members of the USA Swimming National Team against select swimmers from the Big Ten Conference.
Stevens was eligible to represent Team USA as a 2016-17 member of the National Team. The junior made the team for the second year in a row after placing fifth in the 100 back at the 2016 U.S. Olympic Team Trials. She is joined on Team USA by 10 members of the 2016 U.S. Olympic Team, including eight medalists.
The event starts on Saturday, Nov. 12 at 5 p.m. CT and concludes on Sunday, Nov. 13 at 10:30 a.m. CT. The Big Ten Network will televise both sessions of the meet.
Currently, Stevens ranks 15th nationally in the 200 back and 21st in the 100 back. As a sophomore in 2015-16, she claimed one first team and two honorable mention All-America honors at the NCAA Championships. She was a member of Mizzou's sixth-place 400 medley relay team and took 14th individually in the 100 back at NCAAs.
The Tigers host Georgia on Thursday, Nov. 10 at Noon CT at the Mizzou Aquatic Center. The meet will be broadcast live on SEC Network .
