#MIZCamp - Aug. 25

COLUMBIA, Mo. - With the start of fall classes on Monday, #MIZCamp moved to the afternoon on Tuesday at Faurot Field under perfect weather conditions. The Tigers practiced for a little over two hours as they completed padded practice No. 17 of fall camp. Below are some observations from Tuesday's session:
- LB Kentrell Brothers made a crucial tackle for loss to seal the victory for the defense on the final play of the 11-on-11 rushing period.
- QB Maty Mauk moved the chains during consecutive third down situations, rushing for a 12-yard gain and then completing a pass to RB Morgan Steward, who made an impressive over-the-shoulder catch for a 9-yard gain along the sideline.
- WR Emanuel Hall made two nice catches during the 11-on-11 period. His first reception went for 25 yards with 15 yards after the catch while his second covered 20 yards across the middle of the field.
- LB Michael Scherer recorded a tackle for loss on a rushing play around the edge during 11-on-11.
- RB Russell Hansbrough rushed for a 35-yard TD in the live team session, finding a running lane in the middle of the defense and angling to score at the front pylon of the end zone.
- DE Charles Harris notched a sack with a burst off of the edge, continuing his strong showing during preseason camp.
- DB Trei Walton dove to break up a pass on an out route along the sideline early in practice.
- DB Cam Hilton recorded an interception during 11-on-11 drills, jumping a route in across the deep secondary.
- CBS College Football Analyst and former Colorado, Washington and UCLA head coach Rick Neuheisel was in attendance at Tuesday's practice. He has been touring all of the SEC football programs in preparation for the upcoming season.
