
Mizzou Headed to Kansas to Face Missouri State in NCAA Tournament

COLUMBIA, Mo. – Mizzou Volleyball gathered at the Clinton Club inside Mizzou Arena on Sunday, Nov. 29, and learned its 2015 NCAA Division I Women's Volleyball Tournament destination. The Tigers will travel to Lawrence, Kan., where they will face Missouri State in the first round on Thursday, Dec. 3, at 4 p.m. (CT). If the Tigers win their first round contest, they would face the winner of No. 9 Kansas and Furman on Friday, Dec. 4. The four teams are a part of the San Diego Regional.
The NCAA Tournament appearance is the 12th in 16 seasons for Mizzou under the direction of coaches Wayne and Susan Kreklow. The last appearance for Mizzou was in 2013 when Kreklow's team earned the No. 4 overall seed in the tournament. Mizzou finished the 2015 regular season with an outstanding 26-5 (14-4 SEC) record and finished second in the Southeastern Conference.
First and second rounds across 16 campus sites will take place from Dec. 3-5. The following weekend (Dec. 11-12), Austin (Texas), Des Moines (Iowa), Lexington (Ky.), and San Diego (Calif.), will serve as the four regional sites.
