Tigers next hit the courts in early November at the Midwest Blast
STILLWATER, Okla. – The Mizzou Tennis concluded action Sunday at the four-day ITA Central Regional in Stillwater, Oklahoma, on Saturday, Oct. 17. The Tigers combined to win 18 singles and eight doubles matches over the weekend.
Three Tigers won four singles matches to close play on Sunday. Junior Cassidy Spearman earned two victories on the day, an 8-0 win over Minnesota's Alexandra Bergman and an 8-3 defeat over Vargas Gomez of Minnesota.
Also victorious on the day were junior Brittany Lashway and freshman Turner Yates. Lashway notched an 8-0 win over Minnesota's Annemarie Emme, while Yates defeated Maja Vujic of Minnesota, 8-6.
Competing in the semifinals of the doubles draw, senior Kelli Hine and junior Bea Machado Santos fought hard but fell to Oklahoma State's Maria Alvarez and Kelsey Laurente, 8-5.
The Tigers return to action Nov. 6-8 at the Midwest Blast in Champaign, Ill.
