Mizzou Tennis Eases Past Bradley, 7-0

COLUMBIA, Mo. - The Mizzou tennis team eased to a 7-0 win over the Bradley Braves Sunday Afternoon at the Mizzou Tennis Complex. The Tigers improved to 5-10 on the season with the win, while the Braves fell to 2-7.
Missouri took all three doubles matches to take a 1-0 advantage going into singles action. At No. 3 play, sophomore Kelli Hine and freshman Tracy Dong earned an 8-2 over Ariel Dechter and Cassia Wojtalik, while seniors Cierra Gaytan-Leach and Rachel Stuhlmann defeated Adele Henke and Sarah Rodefeld, 8-1, at No. 1 doubles to clinch the point. At No. 2, sophomore Madison Rhyner and freshman Cassidy Spearman recorded an 8-1 victory over Carly Miles and Ashley Thai.
In singles, Dong got the Tigers off to a good start with an easy 6-1, 6-0 win over Wojtalik at No. 6 action. Rhyner gave Missouri a 3-0 advantage at No. 5 defeating Carly Miles, 6-2, 6-1.
A 6-1, 6-2 victory for Spearman over Rodefeld at No. 4 singles clinched the Tiger win. Immediately after at No. 1 play, Hine finished a 6-1, 6-1 victory over Henke for a 5-0 Mizzou advantage.
Wins for Stuhlmann at No. 4 and Gaytan-Leach at No. 2 singles gave Missouri the 7-0 sweep. Stuhlmann was victorious, 6-1, 6-4, over Thai, while Gaytan-Leach posted a 6-1, 3-6, 1-0 (10-7) win over Dechter.
The Tigers return to the court on Friday, March 14 when the team hosts LSU at 2 p.m.
