Oklahoma State picked up its 42nd win over Mizzou in the all-time series. The Tigers still lead 77-42 in 119th meeting between the two teams.
The game marked the first overtime games for both Mizzou and Oklahoma State this season.
Freshman F Jakeenan Gant earned his first career start against the Cowboys.
Mizzou held Oklahoma State to 24 first half points, which tied the Cowboys' first frame low (also against South Carolina on Dec. 6).
Sophomore F Johnathan Williams, III scored a career high 22 points to tally double figures for the 10th time this year and the sixth consecutive game. His previous best was 18, which he scored against SEMO on Dec. 2.
Williams, III is now averaging 17.3 ppg over the last six contests.
Freshman G Montaque Gill-Caesar finished with 15 points for his eighth double digit scoring output of the year.
Also in double figures in scoring was sophomore G Wes Clark, who had a least 10 points for the fifth time this season after tallying 12 points.
Williams, III, who was one rebound shy of a double-double, also made a career best eight field goals from the floor.
Senior G Keith Shamburger tied a season best with five assists. He also recorded five dimes against Chaminade (Nov. 26) and Elon (Dec. 11).
Freshman G Tramaine Isabell game-tying 3-pointer to send the game into overtime was his first made trey since Elon (Dec. 11).
