- With the win, Mizzou reached six wins, and bowl eligibility, for the 10th time in head coach Gary Pinkel's 14-year tenure.
- The Tigers have now won 10 of their last 13 Homecoming games, including four of their last five.
- Mizzou improves to 5-2-1 all-time against Vanderbilt. The Tigers have won two straight over the Commodores.
- In seven consecutive games, the Mizzou defense hasn't allowed a touchdown on the opponents' opening drives.
- For the first time in their collective careers, running backs Russell Hansbrough and Marcus Murphy each rushed for more than 75 yards in the same game. Per MU historian Tom Orf, the last time Mizzou had two running backs with 85+ yards each vs. an FBS team was in 1999 vs. Western Michigan (DeVaughn Black 205, Zain Gilmore 139).
Individual Offense
- Murphy now has 2,631 combined return yards in his career, surpassing former Tiger standout Jeremy Maclin (2,626) for a new Mizzou school record.
- Murphy matched a career-high with 16 rush attempts and had 93 rushing yards.
- Hansbrough rushed for 87 yards and secured his seventh career touchdown. The junior tailback has eclipsed 500 total yards for the second straight season with 572 yards through eight games.
- Senior wideout Bud Sasser caught two touchdowns against Vanderbilt, giving him a team-high six receiving touchdowns this season.
- Maty Mauk's 36-yard rush in the third quarter to set up a touchdown was the longest run of his career.
- Mauk's two touchdown passes give the quarterback 27 in his career. That moves him into eighth all-time at Mizzou.
- Freshman wide receiver Nate Brown snagged his first career reception with a four-yard grab in the fourth quarter.
Individual Defense
- Sophomore cornerback John Gibson recorded a career-high four tackles. He now has 30 in his career.
- Sophomore Donavin Newsom collected a career-high five tackles Saturday after tallying four stops last week against Florida.
- With a career-high 2.5 tackles for loss on Saturday, Matt Hoch now has six tackles for loss in 2014, which is a career-high output for a single season.
- Braylon Webb pulled down his team-high fourth interception of the season in the third quarter. The senior has hauled in three picks in the last two games.
- With four interceptions this season, Webb only trails Ole Miss' Senquez Golson (7) for most picks in the SEC.
- Webb now has a team-high seven career interceptions.
- Saturday marked the fourth time this season that Kentrell Brothers recorded six tackles or more.
- After picking up a sack late in the fourth quarter, Harold Brantley now has at least one sack in four straight games.
Miscellaneous
- Webb made his team-high 38th start Saturday, which is the most of any safety in the SEC.
- Senior defensive lineman Lucas Vincent is the only Mizzou four-year senior to play in every game of his career. He has now made 47 game appearances.
- Senior punter Christian Brinser has pinned opponents inside the 20 seven times in the last two games.
