Opening Statement...
"My overall impression of the game was that we were two teams that were struggling from the three-point line that there were a lot of rebounds out there to get. Missouri played hard. They did a lot of things that we weren't used to, like switching all of our down screens and stuff. So, overall I thought this was a great game for us and on the reverse side of it I think Missouri has a lot of kids coming up and they are going to build the program to where it needs to be. But shooting wise we were two for 24 definitely struggling and Mizzou had their ups and downs going five for 21 so my over impression, we got better, I hope we helped Missouri take steps in the right direction but we have a lot of growing to do as well."
On learning from this game...
"We learned a lot from this game. I think we are going to go into a league that's going to switch and the switching really threw us off. We were used to just playing it man-to-man and fighting through the screens and stuff like that so we are going to learn a lot, we are obviously going to hit the shooting gun as well. Our shooting ability, but I don't think we are used to shooting with the pressure Missouri gave so I think that's the next thing we are going to grow and learn from that."
On team's aggressiveness...
"I would say we are athletic, speed is obviously on our side, we like the up-tempo type of games, that is where we flourish. When we can come up with hustle plays all up and down the floor and offensive rebounds we feed off of stuff like that so I would say athleticism helps us out a lot but that is our style of game as well. We like to get up and down and get the rebounds and put backs, it really feeds our momentum."
On Sydney Crafton...
"It looks like Sydney is really comfortable shooting the three and we were playing the drive, because she is crafty with the ball and she breaks down well. She is a big strong kid compared to us. So, we weren't necessarily giving her the three, but we were in between on how to guard her and she missed one shot so I say we didn't do a very good job."

On progress of her three point shooting...
"Last year I wouldn't even shoot [outside the perimeter]. I know coach would tell me if I didn't shoot it, I would sit on the bench. I made the point `I'm going to shoot the ball.'"
On expecting to score 20+ points a game...
"I don't expect 28 points, but I think we all need to score. Not just me. It doesn't matter if I average 20 points a game. I think it would help if all us [had] 10, 12, 13 here and there. That way, like Coach [Robin Pingeton] said before; it's easy to guard one player and shut one player down. But it's hard to guard six or seven players that have 10 or 12 points."
On lack of perimeter shooting early in the game...
"We just weren't hitting [shots] and that happens. But we came into the locker room and said, `just keep shooting, they'll fall, they'll fall.' And they fell."
On her thoughts about the newcomers play tonight...
"I think that Darian did really good today, I was really impressed. She was posting up and getting rebounds. [Lianna] Doty did a really good job with passing the ball and transition offense. She was trying to guard hard on defense and got a couple of fouls. And I think the twins [Morgan, Maddie Stock] made a couple of good threes. I think, overall, it was really good for them."
On being a senior and providing leadership for the newcomers...
"Of course it's a little bit easier for me now since I have been here for a year. I just give them advice on what to do and what coach likes and things like that."
On the change between the first and second half play...
"I think we made a couple of good runs and we got pumped. When you get that feeling that everything's going well, you just feel better. I think that's what helped us. We just calmed down and saw that everything's going well."
On the slow start...
"It's our first game. A lot of new players and we're trying to see what's happening and what's going on."

Opening statement...
"Other than setting the game back 20 years for the first 30 minutes, I saw some good things out of our team. We got better as the game went on. Sydney and LP {Liene Priede} did what they needed to do as seniors, when things are not clicking and you are struggling a little but you expect your seniors to pick them up and they certainly did that. Sydney for all of the minutes she played, 26 of them, played well. LP that second half started breathing a little easy got her motor going for us. A lot of positives but certainly of work to do and we knew that going in. We have a young inexperienced team, with a number of areas to improve in. Our defense needs work in contain the ball defensive rotation and our box outs. Has to be our staple and need to do a much better job of that consistently but this a group that our fun to coach, work hard, passionate and will be a working process that is what we need to work on right now."
On guard play...
"It's early with young kids. The depth wanted to help get everyone's feet wet. And substituting every time out it was hard to get in a rhythm, but that's what these exhibition games are for experience. Second half with more of a rotation is when team settled in."
On Bri Kulas...
"Very talented lady but it is hard in a new system with new players and have to work on consistency. Nice three point shot, crafty and high basketball IQ and there is a learning curve. Will work and get better as the season goes on."
On inside play...
"Liz still new in her second year, is a perfectionist and driven and needs to relax because she is great at practice. She should not feel the need to fill the holes of last year's players. Different team different looks. Darien has improved so much since October first. New players are like a deer in headlights because it is so fast, but she will adjust."
