POSTGAME NOTES
- The win for the Tigers is their 16th straight at home. Missouri is nearly perfect at Mizzou Arena since the end of the 2007-08 campaign, winning 51 of its last 53 home games.
-The winning streak is the eighth-longest home-court run in school history.
- The Tigers are unbeaten at home in 2010-11. Mizzou is the only squad in the Big 12 to win all of its home games this year.
- Mizzou has now won three straight home games against the Red Raiders. The Tigers haven't lost to Texas Tech in Columbia since Jan. 19, 2005.
- Missouri improved to 17-0 this season when leading at the half. The Tigers held a one-point lead over the Red Raiders at intermission.
- With a lay-up at the 3:10 mark of the first half, junior guard Marcus Denmon passed the 1,000-point mark for his career. Denmon finished the game with 20 tallies, bringing his Tiger total to 1,006.
- Denmon's teammate Kim English narrowly missed scoring the 1,000th-point of his career and has 998 tallies.
- Denmon led Mizzou in scoring for the 15th time this season. He also scored 20 or more points for the eighth time this year. Missouri is 7-1 this season when Denmon drops in 20+.
- Along with Denmon's 20 points, the Tigers had three other players scoring in double digits, Kim English with 16, Michael Dixon with 13, and Laurence Bowers adding 10.
- Kim English tied his season high of rebounds, grabbing seven boards.
- The Tigers forced 17 Texas Tech turnovers, scoring 19 points off Red Raider miscues.
- Missouri now leads the all-time series with Texas Tech by a 12-8 margin, including a 7-2 edge in Columbia.
