Mizzou vs. William & Mary Post Game Notes
Mizzou improved to 11-0 for the seventh time in program history and the first since the 1991-92 season.
The Tigers improved their non-conference home court winning streak to 66 with the victory. The Tigers last lost to a non-conference foe at Mizzou Arena in the 2005-06 season.
Missouri finished the home non-conference schedule with an unblemished record for the sixth straight season. The Tigers were 8-0 this year, 10-0 in 2010-11, 9-0 in 2009-10, 10-0 in 2008-09, 9-0 in 2007-08 and 11-0 in 2006-07.
Mizzou held William & Mary to just 18 first half points, the fewest the Tigers have given up in a half this season.
The Tigers shot at least 60 percent from the field for the second straight game after a 60.3 (35-58) percent outing against William & Mary.
Mizzou shot 67.9 percent in the second half, the team's best shooting half of the season. The previous best was 65.2 percent in the second half against Cal.
Junior Michael Dixon scored a career high 30 points on 13-of-19 shooting from the floor. His previous high was 19 against Northwestern State.
With Dixon's 30 point outing and a 31-point output by Marcus Denmon against Northwestern State, this is the first time two different Tigers scored at least 30 points in the same season since 2003-04, when Rickey Paulding and Arthur Johnson accomplished the feat.
Senior Ricardo Ratliffe hit 5-of-6 shots from the floor to up his season shooting percentage to 76.9 (70-91).
The Tigers scored 94 points to mark their fourth 90-plus point outing of the season.
English was a perfect 9-of-9 from the free throw line.
The Tigers shot 85.0 (17-20) from the free throw line to mark the sixth time overall and fourth straight game the team has shot at least 80 percent from the line this season.
Sophomore Phil Pressey dished out five assists and committed no turnovers against the Tribe. He now has 66 assists and 20 turnovers this season for an assist-turnover ratio of 3.3.
