On hating to lose more than loving to win...
"Winning is something that you love and it is a good feeling. It hurts you more to lose, and it should. As a competitor in any collegiate sport, losing you should absolutely hate it and it should not be even in your vocabulary. It is that gut-wrenching feeling that you don't want to have. I love winning that is no doubt, but that feeling of losing is worse."
On balance...
"It is really important, I think everybody on the bench and the coaching staff to the starting five have to produce in some way, shape or form. Whether that is scoring multiple points a game, assists, or just being strong with the ball and not making turnovers. We will get tired playing 30 plus games, and we have to be able to rely on the bench. So far they have done an okay job, but there is always work for starters and the bench to do."
On her rhythm and game...
"My teammates were able to get me open and give me time to get off my shot. A few of them were falling and it really helped my confidence going into the next game."
On her reputation as a shooter...
"When I get a few of them to fall I know that they are going to be on me a little bit tighter and I need to be able to pump fake or pass fake to open up the driving lanes. It is a little bit harder to get open but it just causes me to have to be a little more creative."

On the sloppiness of the game...
"That was a tough game. Any time you have 41 turnovers and 50-some free throws, it makes for a tough night of basketball to watch. I think if we didn't come out of the gates the way we did, we wouldn't be in the position we are in now. Not pleased with this game whatsoever. I felt like we had a lot of breakdowns. We lost our edge, we lost our intensity, and that's unacceptable and that's a reflection of me and my staff."
On working to not get complacent with a big lead...
"No, I think I'm pretty aware of where we're at as a program. Just like I told our girls at halftime, this has nothing to do with the scoreboard; this has to do with our program getting better every time we step between the lines, whether it's practice or a game-situation. And we can't afford to just show up and roll the ball out and play, and we can't roll the ball out and play for the first five or six minutes or the last five or six minutes. We're not at that point as a team. Every opportunity we get, we've got to just make the most out of it, seize the opportunity to get better as a team, and we didn't do that tonight. Complacent - absolutely not; a long way from that."
