• Mizzou claimed the CBE Classic for the second time in the event's history. The team also won the event in 2001 when they defeated Iowa 78-77 in the title game. The team joins Creighton (2002 and 2004) and Texas (2005 and 2009) as the only two-time winners of the event.
• Missouri is now a perfect 2-0 in the event's title game.
• The 39-point victory was Missouri's largest over a ranked opponent since at least 1949.
• Mizzou's 39-point win marked the biggest ever margin of victory in the CBE Classic championship game. The previous biggest point differential was 16 (Texas 78, Pittsburgh 62) in 2009.
• Seniors Marcus Denmon was named the 2011 Progressive CBE Classic MVP, while senior Kim English was also named to the all-tournament team.
• The Tigers won a regular season tournament for the second consecutive season. The team claimed the Cancun Challege a year ago.
• The Tigers improved to 13-3 all-time in the event. The 13 wins are an event record.
• Missouri opened the season 5-0 for the second straight season and the 24th time in program history.
• The Tigers shot a season high 58.8 (30-of-51) from the field in the game. Over the last two contests, the team is shooting an incredible 58.5 (62-of-106) percent.
• Six different Tigers reached double figures for the first time this season and the first time since Jan. 13, 2010 against Texas Tech. Five Tigers have reached the 10-point mark in two games this season and four players in all five games this year.
• Missouri scored a season high 92 points, five points better than the previous high of 87 set against Notre Dame on Nov. 21.
• Mizzou's 39 point win was its largest of the season.
• Senior Steve Moore recorded a career high 10 points. His previous high was nine, which he posted against Western Illinois on Nov. 18, 2010. Moore also tied his career best in steals with three.
• Junior Michael Dixon moved into first place on Mizzou's all-time free throw list at 85.1 percent, passing Jon Sundvold (84.8) after knocking down all six of his attempts.
• The Tigers forced Cal to commit 14 first half turnovers, the highest output by an MU opponent in a half this season.
• Senior Ricardo Ratliffe hit 5-of-6 shots from the field to up his season shooting percentage to 65 percent. He entered the contest ranked second among all Big 12 players in the category.
• The Tigers shot over 50 percent in both halfs to mark the second straight game the team accomplished the feat. The last time Mizzou did it in back-to-back games was against Arkansas-Pine Bluff (Nov. 28) and Georgetown (Nov. 30) of last year.
• The Tigers improved to 5-2 all-time against Cal.
