- Missouri met Oral Roberts tonight for the seventh time in series history, and the Tigers improved to 6-1 all-time against the Golden Eagles.
- The triumph over the Golden Eagles runs Mizzou's home winning streak against non-conference opponents to 53 games, extending a school record that dates back to the 2005-06 season. The Tigers' current streak sits second among Big 12 teams, trailing only Texas A&M.
- The win extends the Tigers' current winning streak to four games and makes them 9-1 on the year, equaling Mizzou's best start to a season under Head Coach Mike Anderson.
- Laurence Bowers converted an "and-one" at the 6:32 mark of the first half to tie the score at 20, starting an 18-2 Missouri run that carried the Tigers to a 37-24 halftime lead.
- Bowers finished the game with five blocks, setting a career high. His previous best was four. The last time a Tiger blocked five shots in a game was Feb. 27, 2010, when Steve Moore had five at Kansas State.
- Marcus Denmon finished the night with 16 points, nearly equaling his season average of 16.4.
- Six different Tigers scored in the game's first 20 minutes, led by Bowers and Marcus Denmon with nine apiece. Mizzou saw tallies from nine players in the game and four Tigers scored in double figures on the night.
- Ricky Kreklow finished the night with eight points, setting a new career high.
- Phil Pressey made his first career start as a Tiger and finished the game with seven assists. Combined with Saturday's win over Presbyterian, Pressey has 16 dimes and two turnovers in his last two games for an impressive ratio of 8-to-1. He also had eight points on Wednesday night, one shy of his career best.
- Mizzou held Oral Roberts to 26.5 percent shooting from the floor, the lowest field-goal percentage by a Tiger opponent this year and the Golden Eagles' worst shooting clip of the season. The previous low for a Missouri opponent this year was 38.3 percent by North Florida (Nov. 20), while Oral Roberts' season-worst coming into tonight's game was 36 percent against Oklahoma last Saturday.
