COLUMBIA, Mo. - - Mizzou snapped a two-game losing skid by taking an 8-1 win over Indiana State on Tuesday night at Taylor Stadium. Senior Kyle Mach matched a career-high with four hits in the game, finishing the night 4-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored.
After a scoreless three innings, the Tigers scored in four-consecutive innings, putting up eight runs over those four innings. The homer was Coleman's fifth of the year, tying him for the team lead in that category.
The Tigers then put up back-to-back three-run innings, starting with the sixth. Junior Greg Folgia drove in two runs with a double and Coleman followed with a double that scored Folgia.
Missouri (18-19) opened the seventh inning with consecutive doubles from senior Ryan Lollis and Mach. Lollis scored on Mach's base hit and senior Austin Holt drove in a pair of runs later in the inning with a single.
Freshman Ryan Clubb got his first career start and pitched 4.2 scoreless innings, allowing just one hit. Senior Scooter Hicks pitched the final 4.1 innings and picked up the victory to move to 3-1 on the season.
