
Mizzou Falls in Finale at Texas

AUSTIN, Texas - - Texas scored three runs in the bottom of the ninth inning against Missouri to take a 4-3 win in the finale of the three-game series in Austin, Texas on Sunday.
With MU leading 3-1 in the bottom of the ninth, the Longhorns scored runs on a double from pinch hitter Kevin Keyes and a single by Travis Tucker to tie the game at three. Texas then scored the winning run on a Mizzou error.
Sophomore Nick Tepesch turned in the longest outing of his career, pitching eight-plus innings. He allowed just one run on seven hits and struck out four. His previous longest outing came last Sunday, when he went 3.2 innings against Ball State.
Texas scored first, plating a run in the bottom of the second inning. The Tigers quickly answered that by scoring once in the top of the third, as junior Aaron Senne doubled to drive in freshman Conner Mach.
Senne delivered a second RBI double in his next at-bat in the fifth inning, again driving in Mach, to give Mizzou the 2-1 lead. Senne then scored when junior Trevor Coleman single to extend the lead to two.
Senne was 2-for-2 on the day, with the two doubles and two RBI. He also drew a pair of walks.
Missouri returns to Taylor Stadium on Wednesday, hosting Southern Illinois-Edwardsville at 6:30 p.m
