COLUMBIA, Mo. - - Steve Gray homered, doubled and drove in two runs and Rick Zagone allowed just two runs in seven innings pitched, but a run in the top of the 10th by Kansas State, gave KSU a 4-3 win over Mizzou in the finale of a three-game series at Taylor Stadium.
In the top of the 10th inning, the Wildcats' Adam Muenster reached on an infield single and advanced to second on an errant throw to first. Pinch hitter Byron Wiley followed by taking an intentional walk. Then, with Carter Jurica at the plate, freshman Nick Tepesch threw a wild pitch. Sophomore catcher Trevor Coleman attempted to throw Wiley out as he tried to take second base, but the throw was off line, going into centerfield. Muenster, who was attempting to take third on the wild pitch, scored the go-ahead run on the error.
