Missouri Falls to Sooners at Big 12 Championship

OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. - - Oklahoma scored two runs in the bottom of the ninth inning to pick up a come-from-behind victory over Mizzou by a score of4-3 at the Big 12 Championship in Oklahoma City. The loss snaps a five-game winning streak for the Tigers.
Senior Jacob Priday drove in all three of the Tigers runs, finishing 2-for-4 on the night. His three RBI give him 237 for his career.
Missouri matched a season high with four errors in the game, as just two of the four Oklahoma runs were earned on the night.
Junior Aaron Crow allowed two runs, only one of which was earned, on six hits in seven innings pitched. He struck out six, taking a no decision. Crow's six strikeouts give him 117 on the year, which puts him fourth in the MU record book for strikeouts in a season.
Missouri's first run came when Priday reached safely on a fielder's choice in the first inning, allowing sophomore Greg Folgia to score.
After OU tied the game with a run in the bottom of the second, the Tigers pulled back ahead in the third, when Priday singled to drive in Folgia. Priday then singled again in the fifth to drive in junior Ryan Lollis for his third RBI of the night.
The Sooners cut the lead to one with a run in the bottom of the fifth as Bryant Hernandez doubled and scored on a single by Jamie Johnson.
Then in the ninth, Aljay Davis singled to lead off the inng and OU put runners on the corners when pinch hitter Spencer Selby reached on an error. Johnson then drove in his second and third runs of the night with a game-winning double.
The Tigers have now lost five games in which they lead heading into the ninth inning this season.
Missouri will conclude pool play on Saturday, taking on No. 1 seed Texas A&M at 12:30 p.m. The Aggies are 0-2 so far at the Big 12 Championship. In order to advance to the Championship Game, Mizzou will need to defeat Texas A&M on Saturday and have Oklahoma lose to Texas.
