Missouri Head Coach Gary Pinkel
On overall performance:
"I feel great, we're winning games. "But as I told my football team, I'm a perfectionist. I look at things that need to improve. What we need to do is just become a more consistent football team. It feels good to win."
On WR Jeremy Maclin:
"He obviously had a great day catching the football and on punt returns and kickoff returns. We find different ways to get him the ball because he can make things happen. He's just got to keep working harder, which he will. He's a great young man. He can do a lot of things to change a game fast."
On the Offense:
"I don't want to have to hear about Chase (Daniel) throwing interceptions anymore. I think we made progress today but we've still got a long way to go."
On the Defense:
"We're trying to come up with some different things the defenses have to work on every game and do it for a certain amount of time, and then bring some back and not bring others back. For the first time ever I give a folder to the referee before the game of all the different multiple formations we have."
On QB Chase Patton:
"It was great seeing him. You saw how happy his teammates were for him when he scored that touchdown, he got mobbed down there. He played well, he played very well. It allows us to do more things with him."
On TE Martin Rucker
"He is a lot better football player than he was a year ago, and he was a pretty good player a year ago."

MU Player Quotes
Mizzou Quarterback, Chase Daniel
On Mizzou's offensive performance against Western Michigan:
"We came out there and played hard today. We had a little lapse in the third quarter, but in the fourth quarter we put two big drives together with both Chase Patton and I going down and getting touchdowns.
On Mizzou Wide Receiver, Jeremy Maclin's performance:
"I wouldn't expect 300 all-purpose yards from him today. I think he has shown a lot of talent and the staff did an awesome job of getting him ready. When you tear an ACL, that is a major injury, and some of the cuts he makes, I do not see some NFL players make similar type plays. We want to get the ball to Maclin as much as possible, he just makes unbelievable plays."
On scoring on the Opening Drive:
"It's big time, we haven't scored a touchdown on the first drive in the first three games. It is definitely good to get out there, score, and get our passing game going."
On Western Michigan's plan to stop Mizzou's running attack:
"We saw some things on defense, and we knew they were going to take away Tony Temple and our running game. So, that leaves me to run the ball. Though I got sacked twice today, we still were able to run the ball like we wanted to."

Mizzou Defensive Lineman, Lorenzo Williams
On the Defense's focus for today's game:
"We take each game one week at a time, and it was all about coming out and dominating today."
On Western Michigan's unique style of offense:
"We knew they would try a couple of trick plays, and the quarterback did a good job running the screen plays. And they came out one play and ran the no-huddle offense, which you don't really see a lot from them. We had to get ready for that, and we adjusted."
On winning the home-opener at Faurot Field:
"It's huge. Anytime we play at home it is huge. The crowd did a great job today, and they were into the game for the whole time."
