Missouri Head Coach Gary Pinkel
On the game:
"It was an interesting game, I'm certainly happy how the team had enough grit to fight through some adversity and find a way to win the game in the fourth quarter. We made plays when we had to, and we were lucky to come out of her with a win."
On facing adversity:
"Generally we learn through our adversities, and we did that today. We made a lot of big plays at the right time, and we were able to win the game."
On Pig Brown's interception:
"He had to go up and make a difficult catch in the endzone, and it helped us win the game. He went up and made a very difficult catch."
Missouri Strong Safety Pig Brown (5 TKL, 2 FR, 1 INT, 1 def TD):
On finishing the game:
"We were able to finish in the fourth quarter. We all made plays at the right time, and we fought until the end and we came out of here with the victory."
On game-winning Interception:
"I thought, 'I just want to do this for my team.' I jumped up and I used all of my fundamentals and I was able to haul it in."
On NCAA Fumble Return record:
"I just used my instincts and picked the ball up, and once I got it I was hoping that they wouldn't catch me."
Missouri Wide-Receiver Jeremy Maclin (227 All-purpose yards, 2 TD)
On returning to the lineup this season:
"It was a blessing, I missed all of last season with an injury and it just felt good to do what I did, especially being in front of my home town crowd."
On his 66-yard punt return touchdown:
"We've been talking about special teams all week. The right side really did their job blocking, I saw the cutback, so that's what I did and I was able to score the touchdown."
Missouri Quarterback Chase Daniel (37-54, 359 yds 3 TD):
On the pace of the game:
"That was a back and forth game. I was so proud of how the team was able to finish, and how we were able to find a way to win the game. The never let die attitude that this team had was great. We are going to have a lot of games like this one this season, and now we know we can come out on top."
On Pig Brown's game:
"He won the game for us. He made tow game breaking plays. The interception was huge, and the fumble return turned the game around."
