Missouri Head Coach Tim Jamieson
On the game:
"Have to give Louisville credit, they are a good baseball team and played well. I would also like to say that I am very appreciative to the community for the past four days and am proud of our ball club and the things we accomplished this year."
"I thought that we did a good job responding in the first inning, but we just couldn't come through."
On Missouri Pitcher Aaron Crow:
"He just wasn't in the zone, they [Louisville] were very aggressive and it just wasn't a good match-up today."
On Louisville 3B Chris Dominguez:
"He is a good baseball player and channeled his energy from last night in the right direction".
Missouri Right Fielder Ryan Lollis:
On Louisville's start in the first inning:
"It hurt at first; we knew we had work cut out for us."
On losing guys for next year's team:
"It hurts to lose players, but we are excited about next year."
Missouri Left Fielder Aaron Senne:
On the first inning:
"It took a lot out of us, we tried to fight back, but just couldn't get enough runs on the board."
On being only a freshman and the future:
"I hope we can go a lot further next year. We will have the talent and team to do it. It will be a building process, but we can definitely do it next year and the year after."
Louisville Coach Dan McDonnell
"First I want to congratulate Missouri. It was no fluke that they were deserving of hosting a regional. I know that they have things going in the right direction."
On the performance of Dominguez:
"I felt a little bad for him last night that he hits that big home run to put us ahead and a lot of the focus was on the way he acted and how the people responded to him. And again, he wasn't proud of letting the emotions get the best of him. You worry about a 19-year-old kid, how they're going to come back knowing 3,000 booing you every time you touch the ball. I don't know if it gets any better hitting a grand slam in the first."
"We want to be the Oregon State of college baseball."
Louisville SS Chris Cates
"Most of us have been here all four years together and it's like a family. It's like a dream come true; I'm at a loss for words right now."
