COLUMBIA, Mo.-- Junior Jacob Priday homered twice and drove in six runs in a four-hit performance to lead the No. 19 Mizzou to a 13-3 win over Oklahoma on Friday night at Taylor Stadium in the first game of the three-game weekend series.
Priday was 4-for-4 on the night with the two home runs and a pair of singles. His six RBI tied a career high and matched a season high for the Tigers. Priday, who homered twice in a game for the second time this season, is tied with Trevor Coleman for the team lead with eight home runs on the year.
The first home run of the night for Priday came in the bottom of the first inning, a two-run shot with two outs. Priday would drive in Missouri's third run of the night with an RBI single in the third inning, then hit another two-run home run in the fifth. He added a singled in the sixth, driving in his sixth run of the night.
In the last seven games, Priday is hitting .481 with 11 of his 13 hits during that stretch going for extra bases. He has six home runs during that span, adding two triples, three doubles and 18 runs batted in.
Sophomore Ryan Lollis and senior John McKee each added two hits on Friday night and each drove in a pair of runs. McKee's first hit was a solo home run, his fifth round tripper of the year, in the bottom of the fourth inning.
Sophomore Aaron Crow picked up the win to improve to 7-2 on the season. He allowed just two runs in eight innings on the mound to lower his season ERA to 2.53.
Missouri improved to 34-13 on the season and 15-7 in the Big 12 Conference, while the Sooners fell to 28-21 overall and 8-14 in league play.
The series will continue with games at 2 p.m. on Saturday and 1 p.m. on Sunday. The four Tiger seniors will be recognized prior to Saturday's game.
