
Mizzou Picks Up 10th Straight Win

COLUMBIA, Mo.-- - Mizzou opened a three-game series with Cleveland State with a 6-3 win on Friday night at Taylor Stadium to take their winning streak to 10 games. Mizzou has won 11 of its last 12 games and is a perfect 8-0 at home on the year.
Sophomore Aaron Crow recorded a career-high nine strikeouts and took the victory to move to 4-0 on the year. He allowed three hits on five hits in seven innings on the mound.
Freshman Kyle Gibson picked up a save for the second-straight game, pitching a perfect ninth inning. The save is Gibson's fifth on the year. The Tigers' bullpen put in another strong performance, as sophomore Brant Combs preceded Gibson's perfect ninth with a 1-2-3 eighth inning.
The score was tied at one after three innings before the Tigers put together a two-out rally in the bottom of the fourth, getting consecutive RBI singles from junior Jacob Priday, freshman Aaron Senne and sophomore Lee Fisher.
CSU cut the lead to one with two runs in the top of the sixth inning, but Missouri responded with two runs of its own in the bottom of the inning.
Sophomore Ryan Lollis was 3-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored.
The three-game series will continue at 2 p.m. on Saturday with game three at 1 p.m. on Sunday.
