Missouri Head Coach Mike Anderson Post-Game Quotes
Missouri 95, Southern 50
On tonight's win over Southern University
"Well, it was a game I was real concerned about. I was anxious to see the mindset of our guys. It was great to seem them really continue to apply pressure defensively. That was one of our challenges, to be able to adjust and I felt like we accomplished that."
On Missouri's defensive efforts
"We're getting in a rhythm. We're doing a better job of staying with people. Sometimes you let the defense do the job. We helped ourselves with a lot of steals and forcing turnovers. We're getting a little bit better, but the challenges keep coming."
On Missouri playing hands-on basketball
"It disrupts their offense, it disrupts the floor. I called it controlled chaos. A lot of people think it's just running around. We know what we're doing. Sometimes I don't know what they're doing, but we're doing what we've been trying to do, defensively try to make some noise. With 28 assists, that's unbelievable, and 6 turnovers, to play at the pace and to play so many players, you got to see a lot of guys go into the game."
On going to Kansas City and playing in the CBE this coming Monday and Tuesday
"Michigan State is a very exciting team with the way their playing. They're playing with a lot of confidence. We've got a tremendous challenge, but it gives us an opportunity to get away from the confines of Mizzou Arena and play at a neutral setting. We have our work cut out for us. We are the little guy in this tournament."
