Stefhon Hannah led all scorers with 25 points to lead Missouri to a 105-67 win over Missouri-Rolla on Friday in the first of two exhibition games.
In Missouri's first meeting with the Division II Miners in 84 years, the Tigers raced to a 17-point lead in the first 10 minutes and led 60-36 at halftime.
Marshall Brown added 23 and Matt Lawrence scored 12 for Missouri. Hannah and Jason Horton each had six assists to lead the Tigers, and Brown led Missouri with nine rebounds.
Justin Taylor and Tyrone Davidson each scored 17 points to lead Missouri-Rolla, which lost its second exhibition game this week. The Miners lost to Arkansas State 97-71 Wednesday in Jonesboro, Ark.
Hannah, a junior college transfer from Chicago, was 7 for 11 shooting in the first half, including 4 of 5 from 3-point range to score 18 points.
Hannah also connected with Marshall Brown for two alley-oop passes within a minute of each other. The first came at the 4:53 mark when he took a pass from Horton and tossed it to Brown from the right wing. Then, with just over four minutes remaining, he got the ball on a fast break and heaved a pass to Brown from just across the mid-court line. The two plays gave the Tigers a 26-point lead.
Missouri plays its final exhibition game Monday against Lithuania Academy before opening the regular season Nov. 10 against North Carolina A&T in Columbia.
