COLUMBIA, Mo. (AP) - Richard Roby scored a career-best 33 points and Chris Copeland hit the last of Colorado's season-best 13 3-pointers with two-tenths of a second to go, giving the Buffaloes a 74-71 victory at Missouri on Saturday.
Copeland had 15 points for Colorado (11-3, 1-2 Big 12), which ended an eight-game losing streak at Missouri (9-5, 2-1). The Buffaloes, who were 13-for-29 from 3-point range, had lost 33 of their previous 34 at Missouri and this time ended the Tigers' eight-game overall home winning streak.
Thomas Gardner had 22 points for Missouri, shrugging off a mild concussion sustained two days earlier in practice, and Jimmy McKinney also had 22. But a traveling call with 8.2 seconds left on Gardner after he took an inbound pass and then slipped gave Colorado the opening it needed.
Copeland got a nice look on the baseline in front of the Colorado bench before draining his third 3-pointer of the game on the winner. Colorado had lost its first two Big 12 games after winning nine straight entering conference play.
Roby scored 21 of his points in the second half and was 6-for-11 from 3-point range to top his previous career best of 30 points. Roby had averaged 11 points in his previous five games, but he and the rest of the Colorado offense thrived against Missouri's zone most of the game.
Roby, who was 11-for-24 overall, entered with a 15.7-point average.
Colorado leads the conference in 3-pointers, averaging eight per game. Copeland was 3-for-6 and Dominique Coleman and Andy Osborn each had a pair of 3-pointers.
Marshall Brown added 10 points for Missouri, which lost despite shooting 50 percent. The Tigers led by five with about 5 1-2 minutes to go before fading, failing to follow up on a 2-point victory at No. 22 Oklahoma on Tuesday.
The finish stunned a season-best crowd of 10,684.
Gardner had 10 points and McKinney nine in the first half, helping Missouri overcome Colorado's long-range shooting to take a 35-30 lead. The Buffaloes hit five of their first eight 3-point attempts but shot only 35.5 percent in the half overall.
