
Tigers Defeat Eastern Michigan 14-4 to Close Out Series

COLUMBIA, Mo. - - The Missouri baseball team finished off its three-game series with Eastern Michigan by defeating the Eagles 14-4 on Sunday at Taylor Stadium.
After falling behind 2-0, the Tigers tied the score with two runs in the bottom of the second. They would take control of the game with a seven-run fifth inning, getting RBI hits from Jacob Priday, James Boone, Gary Arndt and Cosme Caballero.
Mizzou (9-4) would add three runs in the sixth inning, including two runs, which scored on a double by Derek Chambers.
MU would add a run in the seventh and scored its final run on a home run from Priday. Priday finished the game 2-for-5 with three RBI and two runs scored. He had three home run in the four-game series with Eastern Michigan and has four on the season.
Erik Dessau started the game for Mizzou and went five innings, allowing two runs on four hits and striking out six.
The Tigers will continue its homestand at 4 p.m. on Wednesday against Illinois State at Taylor Stadium.
