
Missouri Falls To No. 17 Kansas State, 80-53

COLUMBIA, Mo. (AP) - Kendra Wecker scored 21 of her 26 points in the second half, leading No. 17 Kansas State to an 80-53 victory over Missouri on Wednesday night.
Kansas State (21-6, 12-4 Big 12) overcame a sluggish start by shooting 59 percent in the second half and outscoring Missouri 57-28. The Wildcats beat Missouri for the ninth straight time and won their fourth straight overall.
The Wildcats' seniors, Chelsea Domenico, Brie Madden, Megan Mahoney, Laurie Koehn, and Wecker, have a 101-25 record over the last four seasons, the best four-year stretch in Kansas State history.
Koehn added 17 points, and Twiggy McIntyre scored 11 in a reserve role. Wecker also finished with 10 rebounds for her 50th career double-double.
Christelle N'Garsanet scored 12 points to lead the Tigers (10-17, 4-12). LaToya Bond added 10 points as Missouri lost for the fourth time in five games and for the 15th straight time to a ranked opponent.
After trailing 25-23 at the break, Kansas State blew the game open with a 29-6 outburst in the first 10 minutes of the second half, stretching the lead to 52-34.
Missouri closed within 54-41 before Kansas State went on a 15-3 run.
