Opening Statement
"I was very proud of the way our kids fought all the way through. We knew going in that we were going to have to be very aggressive, and have to push the envelope and take some chances and really go at it and be aggressive. When you do that, your chance of masking errors goes up a little bit, but that's a chance you have to take. I was really pleased, especially after dropping a close game one, with the way we bounced back in game two. We dropped game three but we really battled and fought all the way to the end of game four. From a coaching standpoint, we're really pleased with the fight our girls showed out there."
On their feelings after this loss
"I think this is as good as you can feel [after a loss]. Obviously, we're all very disappointed that we didn't win the match. I think we all feel like we're capable of doing that. All of us that were out there watching knew at critical times, in each of those games that we lost, I thought we made a few too many unforced errors. Against a really great team like that, our margin for is pretty small. I thought that some of those unforced errors, at in opportune times, allowed them to create a little bit of space. Each time they did, we did a pretty good job of battling back. We allowed them at times to create too much space and too much separation, and it's tough to get back in there."
What can the Tigers take from this match?
"Coming out of this one, I think our players have to feel good about the fact that we didn't play our best, it was tight all the way through. The encouraging thing for me, from a coaching standpoint, knowing how close we were, how well we battled, but yet from my perspective, there were things we could have done a lot better that we didn't do."
