·       With tonight's win, Missouri continued its undefeated streak at Faurot Field with its seventh straight win that dates back to Sept. 6, 2003, victory against Eastern Illinois.

·       Tonight's 52-20 victory over Arkansas State is the highest MU final score for a home and season opener since the 1928 game against Centre (60-0).

·       Missouri has played 44 games at home as a ranked team against unranked foes.  The Tigers are a solid 34-10 (77.2%).

·       Redshirt freshman tight end Martin Rucker scored the Tigers' first touchdown of the game with 11:46 left in the first period.  The 24-yard touchdown came on his first career reception.

·       James Kinney, a senior linebacker had 6 tackles and moved to eighth on the Mizzou Individual Career Tackle chart with 328 tackles.  Kinney passed Eric McMillan (Defensive Back, '84-'87) and Jay Wilson (Linebacker, '80-83) and is 18 tackles shy of the No. 7 spot held by former linebacker Darryl Major ('91-`94, 346).

·       Senior defensive lineman Phil Pitts (Jefferson City, Mo.) caught his first career interception, running for 49 yards to score his first career touchdown. 

·       Missouri's last defensive touchdown came on Nov. 9, 2002, in Columbia against No. 18 Colorado.  Scoring in the third quarter of that game, Tauras Ferguson had a 43-yard pick for the touchdown. 

·       Junior MU quarterback Brad Smith connected with junior wide receiver Sean Coffey for a 60-yard pass, breaking last year's longest pass of 48 yards from Smith to Damien Nash at Colorado on Nov. 8, 2003.  

·       Brad Smith had 63 yards rushing and moved up to 18th in the NCAA Quarterback Career Rushing Record list with 2,498 yards.  Smith surpassed Josh Harris (2,459) of Bowling Green (2000-2003).

·       In the second quarter, Brad Smith rushed for a gain of 34 yards and his first rushing touchdown of the season.  The touchdown marks Smith's third consecutive game where he has rushed for a touchdown.

·       Missouri's 21 first-quarter points were the most under Head Coach Gary Pinkel.  The previous high was set at 17, scored against Texas Tech on Oct. 25, 2003.  In addition. MU's 35 first-half points bettered the previous mark under Pinkel of 34 points, which was recorded twice.

·       Wide receiver Sean Coffey had 113 receiving yards, breaking his career single-game high of 88 yards against Troy State in 2002.   Coffey is the first Tiger to receive for over 100 yards in a game since Justin Gage (123 yards) in Nov. 16, 2002, against Texas A&M.

·       Tailback Damien Nash rushed for 126 yards, breaking his career single-game rushing of 91 yards against Iowa State in 2003.  Nash scored two touchdowns to tie his single-game career touchdown record. 

·       Brad Smith connected with senior tight end Victor Sesay for a 35-yard touchdown.  The pass tied Smith's career single-game passing touchdown record of three.     

·       Sophomore Xzavie Jackson had his second career fumble recovery in the end zone to stop an ASU scoring drive in the forth quarter.

·       Sophomore quarterback Brandon Coleman made his collegiate debut tonight, connecting with true freshman wide receiver William Franklin for a gain of seven yards in the fourth quarter.

·       Redshirt freshman wide receiver Jason Ray made his first career reception (three yards) in the fourth quarter of tonight's game against Arkansas State.
