  • Junior TB Damien Nash's 6-yard run to open the scoring marked the second straight game that Missouri has scored a touchdown on its opening drive.
  • That opening scoring drive of 11 plays over 80 yards took 3 minutes and 51 seconds off the clock. That was Mizzou's longest scoring drive of the season after scoring seven touchdowns in its opener vs. Arkansas State.
  • Senior DB Shirdonya Mitchell hauled in his second career interception early in the first quarter and returned it 26 yards to the TU 39-yard line.
  • Senior TE Victor Sesay caught his second TD pass of the season on a 10-yard grab with 7:28 left in the first quarter. Sesay had three TD's - the second-most on the team - all of last year.
  • In the first quarter, the defense held Troy to five yards of total offense in seven plays. That allowed the Tigers to take a massive time-of-possession advantage of 11:06 to 3:54 in building a 14-0 lead.
  • Missouri also held a 10-0 advantage in first downs through the first quarter, and outgained TU in that span by a staggering 134-5 margin.
  • The Tigers held Troy without a first down for the first 20:38 of the game.
  • RS Freshman DB Alex Woodley returned his first career kickoff in the second quarter. It went for 22 yards.
  • Junior DB A.J. Kincade picked off his first career pass with 12:44 left in the third quarter.
  • Junior DB Marcus King also got his first career pick with 4:13 left in the third quarter.
  • Missouri has committed five turnovers in its first two games after leading the nation with the fewest turnovers in the country last year.
