
Baylor Evens Series with Mizzou

COLUMBIA, Mo.-- - Baylor evened up the series with Mizzou by taking the second game between the two by a score of 15-9 on Saturday at Taylor Stadium. The Tigers scored three runs in both the seventh and eighth innings, but it was not enough to catch the Bears who built a lead with six runs in the fourth inning.
Mizzou scored a run in the first, fourth and sixth before putting the back-to-back three-run innings together to cut the lead to 13-9 in the eighth inning.
The Bears added two more in the top of the ninth for the final six-run margin.
Senior LF Ryan Rallo was 3-for-4 with a home run, two double, one RBI and two runs scored. The homer is the ninth of the year for Rallo, tying him with senior 1B Cody Ehlers for the team lead.
Senior 3B Jeremy Hernandez and sophomore 2B Zane Taylor each added two hits for the Tigers.
Junior RHP Erik Dessau started for Missouri on the mound and allowed three runs on six hits in three innings pitched. He took the loss, just his second defeat of the season.
A day after the Tigers defeated Baylor 12-4, the Bears pounded out 18 hits, including five home runs. Reid Brees was 4-for-6 at the plate for BU and Mike Pankratz had three hits and drove in three runs. Michael Griffin was 3-for-6, including two home runs.
