LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) - Brian Conklin had 17 points, hitting all five of his 3-point shots, to lead Nebraska to a 78-62 win over Missouri.
Nebraska (12-8, 2-6 Big 12) opened up a 17-point, first-half lead Saturday, and Missouri got no closer than nine the rest of the game as the Cornhuskers took their largest win over the Tigers since the 1996-97 season.
Nebraska's biggest lead came on Conklin's 3-pointer with 4:18 remaining, giving Nebraska a 70-50 lead. Missouri (9-10, 4-5) was able to cut Nebraska's 12 point halftime lead to nine on Ricky Paulding's basket with 16:20 remaining that made the score 42-33.
A 10-2 flurry capped by a Conklin 3-pointer put Nebraska up 52-35 with 13:55 remaining, and Missouri never seriously threatened again.
Nebraska turned 12 offensive rebounds into 22 second-chance points. The Huskers also got 24 points off 17 Missouri turnovers and outscored the Tigers by five from the 3-point line and by seven from the free-throw line.
Joining Conklin in double figures for Nebraska were Marcus Neal Jr. with 14, Nate Johnson with 13 and John Turek with 10.
Paulding had 16 to lead Missouri. Bryant added 15 for the Tigers, Jason Conley had 12 and Arthur Johnson added 10.
