
Mizzou Remains Undefeated at Home with 3-0 Win

The Mizzou volleyball team picked up its fifth consecutive win and moved to 3-0 in the Big 12 Conference with a 3-0 (30-13, 30-26, 30-22) win over Texas Tech on Wednesday at the Hearnes Center. The Tigers also improve to 5-0 at home with the win.
Shen Danru had her fifth double-double of the year with 16 kills and 12 digs to lead the Tigers in both categories. Danru, who leads the Big 12 in aces on the year, added two aces against the Red Raiders. Mary Lauren Smith added 13 kills and a .550 hitting percentage.
Mizzou opened the match by dominating game one, hitting .500 as a team. Four Tigers had hitting percentages over .500 led by Lindsey Noll, who was perfect with five kills on five attempts. Lindsey Hunter had 14 assists in the game for the Tigers. Texas Tech kept it close in the early goings of the game, but Missouri went on a 19-6 run to close out the game.
Smith led MU in game two, recording eight kills and hitting .580 in the game. Hunter had 17 assist in the game and added a couple of kills.
MU closed out the match with the 30-22 win in game three. Hunter recorded 17 assists in the second straight game, increasing her season average to 12.54 assists per game.
The Tigers, who are now 10-2 on the year, are on the road on Friday as they travel to College Station, Texas to face No. 25 Texas A&M at 7 p.m. Mizzou will return home next Wednesday for a Border War showdown with Kansas at 7 p.m. in the Hearnes Center.
