Tiger Tennis Dominates Iowa State

COLUMBIA, Mo. - The University of Missouri tennis team put on a dominating performance by beating conference foe Iowa State 7-0 at the Green Tennis Center today. The Tiger move to 5-5 in conference play and 14-6 overall. The Tigers will face Texas tomorrow at the Green Tennis Center for their final regular season match.
The Tigers took an early lead in the match when they swept the doubles point. The Tiger duos of Urska Juric/Katka Sevcikova , Hana Kraftova/Lucie Ruskova, and Kristina Olshanskaya/Mary Barry all won their doubles matches with little trouble. The Tigers carried that momentum into singles play where, again, they swept the matches. All but one singles match were finished off in straight sets, all Tigers that won in doubles also won their singles matches.
The Tigers close their regular season against Texas tomorrow at 10:00 am at the Green Tennis Center. The Tigers will then move on to the Big 12 Championships in Kansas City, Missouri next week at the Plaza Tennis Center.
