Missouri Head Coach Cindy Stein
On SMS game:
"Southwest Missouri deserved the win tonight. We did not do the things we needed to do most of the game."
On the teams play:
"The amazing thing is we were not playing the way we normally do. We were passing the ball and standing. The first half was a great half and Strech (James) played well. Evan (Unrau) also had a great half, but we needed people along side them."
SMS Head Coach Katie Abrahamson-Henderson
On a win over Missouri:
"I'm very, very proud of our team and the way the played together. They came out ready to play, especially as a group. When MU started to make a run, they stuck together and pressed forward. As a team as a whole, they really did a good job. We had some players come off the bench that did a good job while we were in foul trouble."
On traveling to the Hearnes Center:
"Number one, I think every game is a big game, no matter where we go. I think it's the same for [Missouri's] coaching staff. It's very hard to win on the road, no matter where you go. Playing a Big 12 team is good experience for us because they're a good team and Evan is a great, great player. I think the rivalry is more with [the media]. For us, it's just another game, and another opportunity to show what we can do against some very good competition.
