Head Coach Gary Pinkel
On rebounding from the loss to Kansas:
"We remained very positive with our players. We just wanted to keep playing hard. I have to watch myself. I think they wanted to win, but we just weren't playing like we were lighting our hair on fire, just absolutely getting after it. That's the way I like to play football. They did that and handled some adversity."
On the gameplan:
"I felt we hadn't beat those guys in 25 years and we were going to be aggressive. We talked about on fourth-and-one-going for it and doing some reverses, throwback screen passes. We felt we had to do some of those things."
On what this win does for the program:
"I've told some people that our program will eventually beat some people. I was getting tired. I was really frustrated because I'm not very patient. But it's nice to get this first one."
On Brad Smith:
"We blocked better. We were able to run draws and counter plays with Brad. We ran those same plays two weeks ago, but we didn't block very good. That's an example of just executing better. I told Brad just to turn it loose. Don't be afraid to make bad throws. With his athletism, if you feel you're on egg shells, you have to watch yourself on everything you do. Then you can't use your athleticism."

Head Coach Frank Solich
On a short field:
"Anytime you have a short field it affects you. That's part of the game. You've got to respond. We just missed some tackles."
On the fourth quarter:
"We missed some tackles. When you miss tackles its hard to win. If you don't make the play its hard to win. Bottom line is we needed to play better to win. And we didn't do it tonight."
On the weather:
"Both teams had to play in the same weather. They took care of the ball much better than we did. And it was costly."
On the momentum shifts:
"I thought we had gathered the momentum when we went up ten. We were moving the ball offensively and we were making enough plays on the defensive side of it to control. But the momentum moved back to their side. They capitalized on it and we did a poor job of trying to get it back."
Free Safety Josh Bullock
On Missouri moving the ball:
" We weren't that surprised they were moving the ball. We made mistakes and didn't come out and play our fourth quarter like we should have"
Mike Linebacker Barrett Ruud
On Big 12 conference play:
" People need to realize that this is Big 12 now, there aren't any breaks anymore. Last year Kansas was supposedly a break and this year they're one of the better teams out there. Every week you get someone good"
On running quarterbacks:
"Running quarterbacks are a problem for every defense. Last year Oklahoma had problems with this guy. We're gonna watch the film and get better from it."
Will Linebacker Demario Williams
On a comeback:
"We had time for a comeback, we just needed to make some plays and we didn't make the plays."
