
Tiger Volleyball Wins Second Match at OSU Showcase

CORVALLIS, Ore. - The University of Missouri volleyball team defeated Idaho on Saturday 3-0 at the Oregon State Volleyball Showcase in Corvallis, Ore. to move to 2-0 on the season.
Game one went to Missouri 30-27. The game featured seven ties, but the Tigers never trailed and put away the game with a service ace by senior Lisa Morris for game point.
MU had to fight back to win game two as they trailed by as much as four points four times during the game before battling back and gaining the lead at 22-21. They then held on to the lead and took another 30-27 win and go up 2-0 in the match.
The Tigers again had to come from behind in game three after Idaho jumped out to a 13-6 lead early. Idaho held a 20-14 lead before Mizzou went on a 16-8 run, taking the 30-28 win and the victory in the match.
On Friday, in the opening game of the OSU Showcase, Missouri defeated Idaho State 3-0. Next up for the Tigers is a match up with Oregon State on Saturday night at 9:30 p.m. CST.
