Head track & field coach Rick McGuire: "This marks the fourth consecutive year we've had a relay champion at the Drake Relays."
Assistant track coach Rebecca Wilmes: "It's thrilling. There were three seniors out there and you can count on them to lay it all on the line. You know you can put (the seniors) in a situation like that and they'll be rocks for you."
Senior Jennifer Leerssen: "It's exciting. The four of us don't really consider ourselves 'milers' and to put together a relay team like this and win is really great."
Senior Becky Froelker: "For me, as a senior, to win is really special. It makes your whole career to be a champion here."
Senior Ann Marie Brooks: "It's awesome just to win at Drake -- just to cross the finish line with a baton in your hand and to know we were the best (4xMile) relay team. It took every single one of us running for each other to win. The crowd really gets into it. There are people you've never met and teams you've never heard of cheering for Missouri. The victory lap was really neat."
Freshman Amanda Bales: -On winning: "There's nothing like winning on a relay team. Just to know that everyone gave it their all -- it means more than to win as an individual. When it gets hard, you know you have your other teammates counting on you. -On setting the women's 4xMile relay record: "That's beyond our wildest dreams. We're all from different events -- we weren't really thinking about breaking a record when we came here."
