
Kansas State Defeats Missouri 3-0

The No. 20 Missouri Tigers dropped their second match of the year to Kansas State as they fell to the No. 25 Wildcats 3-0 (30-26, 30-24, 30-28) on Wednesday. Mizzou drops to 20-5 on the season and 9-4 in the Big 12 Conference. KSU won their tenth straight match and improves to 16-6 and 12-2 in the conference.
Missouri had a season-low .026 hitting percentage, finishing with a season-high 40 hitting errors. Four Tigers finished with negative hitting percentages. Kansas State also out-blocked MU 27-14.
Christi Myers had 15 kills for MU, followed by Jenny Duitsman with 11 and Shen Danru with 10. Lindsey Hunter has 39 assists. Sara Parks had 11 digs to lead the Tigers defensively.
The Tigers had their three match winning streak snapped with the loss and are now 4-2 against ranked opponents this season. They have been swept three times this year, twice by Kansas State.
A crowd of 1,452, the eighth largest in school history, was in attendance on Wednesday.
Missouri will return to action on Friday as it travels to College Station, Texas to face Texas A&M. The Tigers will be back at the Hearnes Center next Wednesday as they face Colorado at 7 p.m.
