
Texas Wins Game, Series From Missouri

AUSTIN, Texas -- The University of Missouri baseball team committed four early errors and the mistakes haunted the Tigers in a 13-0 seven-inning loss to Texas Sunday at Disch-Falk Field in Big 12 Conference action.
The Tigers committed four errors in the first three innings as Texas built an 8-0 lead. UT scored seven runs in the third inning, all unearned. The Longhorns used seven hits and two errors to knock MU starter Matt Hobbs out of the game in that frame. Hobbs saw a four-game win streak snapped.
Texas banged out six hits in the sixth inning to score four runs and take a 13-0 lead.
The Tigers got two hits from Felipe Tetelboin and a pair of singles from Jayce Tingler, Mick Weiss and Wes Fewell. Fewell had a seventh-inning single to extend his hitting streak to nine games.
UT's Justin Simmons improved to 6-1 with the win.
The Tigers fall to 21-16-1 overall and 8-13 in the Big 12. Texas improves to 28-16 overall and 15-6 in league play.
Missouri's next five games will be at Taylor Stadium/Simmons Field. Here's next week's schedule:
