COLUMBIA, Mo. (AP) - Natalie Bright hit a jumper with 29 seconds left as Missouri upset No. 9 Texas Tech 52-49 Tuesday for the Tigers' first win over a Top-10 team in four years.
Marlena Williams scored 11 points, all in the second half, and iced the game for Missouri (15-6, 5-5 Big 12) with two free throws and a steal in the final minute.
The game was close throughout the second half with Tech leading with one minute left. Then Tech (18-3, 7-3) was called for over-and-back, and Bright scored on the next possession. Tech's last-second 3-point attempt by Amber Tarr was long.
Julie Helm added 11 points for Missouri, while Texas Tech was led by Aleah Johnson with 17 points and Keitha Dickerson with 15. The loss snapped a seven-game winning streak for the Red Raiders.
Texas Tech missed its first 11 shots and shot only 27 percent from the field in the first half. Tech needed 11 minutes to score its first field goal, and by that time Missouri had built a 12-point lead.
The Red Raiders stayed in the game due to Missouri's foul trouble - the Tigers were called for 14 fouls in the first half - but Tech wasn't productive from the free-throw line either, going 8-for-21.
