
Tigers Fall To No. 10 Cyclones

COLUMBIA, Mo. - Stacy Frese scored 22 points as No. 10 Iowa State beat Missouri 79-67 Wednesday night.
Angie Welle and Megan Taylor added 18 points each for the Cyclones, who won their sixth straight and ended Missouri's nine-game winning streak.
Iowa State (10-2, 2-0 Big 12) took a 27-26 lead at halftime, but there were five lead changes and five ties in the first 10 minutes of the second half.
Iowa State then scored 13 straight to take the lead hold off Missouri (10-2, 0-1).
The Cyclones were 19-for-26 on free throws, while Missouri made just five.
Amanda Lassiter scored a career-high 22 points for Missouri, including 17 in the second half. Julie Helm added 13 for the Tigers.
Iowa State outrebounded Missouri 45 to 25 and held the Tigers well below their scoring average of 84.0, fifth in the nation.
