
Missouri Falls at Nebraska

COLUMBIA, Mo.- The Missouri Tigers (11-4) dropped their second straight conference road game on Tuesday night, falling to the Nebraska Cornhuskers (8-7, 2-2) by a score of 80-63 in Lincoln, Neb. The Tigers, 1-3 in the Big 12, turned the ball over 28 times and committed 29 personal fouls in a game that saw 53 fouls called in all.
The Cornhuskers played over half of the game without leading scorers Nicole Kubik, Brooke Schwartz and Charlie Rogers due to foul trouble, but the Tigers could not take advantage. Nebraska tallied 33 points from its bench players, including a career-high 17 by guard Amanda Went and 11 by freshman Paige Sutton. Missouri, also battling foul difficulties, got just 12 points from its bench.
Nebraska led 43-33 at halftime, and outscored the Tigers 37-30 in the second half. The Huskers' 6-5 center Casey Leonhardt scored 15 points while recording 7 rebounds and 4 blocked shots. Marlena Williams led Missouri with 17 points and 11 rebounds while Amanda Lassiter added 13 points.
